A narrow preflight with an explicit boundary.
Why it exists
A barcode can decode on a screen while still containing the wrong GTIN, insufficient quiet space, unsuitable final geometry, or a mismatch between bars and extractable text. PrintCode Check keeps those supported observations separate and visible instead of turning them into a single unexplained score.
What the browser checks
The current release accepts SVG and PNG artwork for EAN-13, UPC-A, and 14-digit ITF. It can attempt a local decode, compare that value with the approved GTIN, inspect usable SVG text, and estimate selected geometry from the final whole-artwork dimensions entered by the operator.
What it cannot establish
The browser does not measure a printed symbol's reflectance, modulation, ink spread, substrate, curvature, finishing, damage, or performance on real scanners. A result is provisional digital preflight evidence, not certification, professional verification, or a guarantee that printed output will scan.
How the pilot is operated
Artwork processing stays in the browser. The site records only allowlisted anonymous funnel events described in the Privacy Policy. Payments and accounts are not enabled. The batch-report button measures anonymous purchase intent and does not create an order or charge money.
Contact and safe reporting
General questions about the site, its published scope, or a reproducible product defect can be sent through the Contact page. Do not email GTINs, barcode artwork, production files, credentials, or confidential information; the inbox is not a secure artwork-review channel.
